We source frozen mackerel from processing plants and exporters across all major fishing origins. If you produce or export commercially traded mackerel species and hold the required certifications, we would like to hear from you.
What we look for in a supplier

EU establishment approval
Processing facility listed on the EU approved third-country establishments register for fishery products. Or equivalent competent authority certification for GCC, Japan or US market programmes.

Documented HACCP plan
Active HACCP system with temperature CCPs from catch to frozen core. Pre-shipment histamine certificates by HPLC from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

Species we buy
All commercially traded mackerel: Scomber scombrus, Scomber japonicus, Scomber australasicus, Trachurus trachurus, Trachurus capensis, Trachurus murphyi, Trachurus japonicus, Rastrelliger kanagurta, Scomberomorus commerson and related species.

Minimum production capacity
At least 5 × 40ft reefer containers per season. We work with processors of all sizes but need consistent supply continuity across a full season or year-round.

Full traceability
Lot-to-vessel traceability. IUU catch certificates validated before loading. Health certificates referencing the specific EU establishment number on every shipment.
