About Global Mackerel

The international B2B platform of Global Seafood Supplier — Dakhla, Morocco

globalmackerel.com is the international B2B website of Global Seafood Supplier, a company registered and headquartered in Dakhla, Morocco. Global Mackerel is the trade name and online identity under which Global Seafood Supplier conducts its frozen mackerel export activity worldwide — sourcing, documenting and supplying all commercially traded mackerel species to importers, processors and distributors across more than forty countries.

Our base in Dakhla is not incidental. The city sits at the intersection of the Northeast Atlantic and East Atlantic mackerel corridors — the two most important supply routes for frozen mackerel into Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region. From here, Moroccan and Mauritanian origins reach West African ports in 7–12 days. Norwegian and Icelandic product moves through well-established Atlantic shipping lanes. We have direct visibility into the production windows, documentation chains and port logistics that determine cost and timing on these corridors.

What we do

We supply frozen mackerel as a B2B commodity — whole round IQF and BQF, headless and gutted, fillets, butterfly cuts and steak-cut formats depending on species. Our catalogue covers eleven commercially traded mackerel species across four biological genera: Scomber, Trachurus, Rastrelliger and Scomberomorus. We work with ONSSA-approved Moroccan processors, EU-approved Norwegian and Icelandic plants, SANIPES-certified Peruvian exporters, MPEDA Indian facilities and processing plants in Namibia, Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Australia.

We do not own fishing vessels or processing plants. We source, structure the documentation, coordinate logistics and manage the commercial relationship between the processor and the importer. Our value is in knowing which plant produces which specification in which season, which certification the destination customs requires, and how to get the container from loading port to discharge port with the cold chain and paperwork intact.

Markets we serve

Our primary markets are Sub-Saharan Africa — where we supply bulk frozen horse mackerel and jack mackerel CIF to Lomé, Tema, Abidjan and Apapa — and the MENA region, where we coordinate both commodity Scomber programmes for Egypt and North Africa and premium Scomberomorus (kanaad / kingfish) for GCC hospitality buyers. We also supply Norwegian and Icelandic Atlantic mackerel to Eastern European smoking plants via CIF Gdańsk, and Japanese and Korean Pacific mackerel for East Asian retail and re-export programmes. For the full picture of each market, see the frozen mackerel export markets guide.

How we work

Every enquiry starts with a specification — species, size grade, format, fat content where applicable, destination port and incoterm. We respond within 24 hours with a current FOB or CIF indication and, where relevant, a comparison across two or three origins on the same specification. We document shipments to the requirements of the destination market — EU BIP, SFDA, NAFDAC, MHLW, GACC — and provide the full certificate stack before the letter of credit is confirmed or the T/T advance is released.

We are available by email and WhatsApp seven days a week during active season windows. For buyers comparing multiple origins simultaneously or planning forward procurement ahead of a Norwegian season or ICES advisory date, WhatsApp is faster than email — the specification conversation is clearer in real time.
